Alex Geisler, founder of Geisler Canine Co., has built her life and career around a deep, lifelong connection with dogs. Growing up with both a Dachshund and a Jack Russell Terrier, her passion for working with dogs began at an early age and quickly developed into a dedicated path. What started as dog walking and in-home pet care naturally progressed into a professional dog boarding operation built on experience, structure, and trust.
Alex is a graduate of Stephens College, where she earned degrees in Theater, Film, and Business. With an original goal of training animals for film and television, she pursued hands-on experience beyond the classroom. During her college years, she was often found at the stables, gaining hands-on experience, and contributing to the development of the now well-known Pet Dorm, where she was able to keep her dog, Abbey Road, by her side.
Over the years, Alex has bred and shown both Standard Dachshunds and Jack Russell Terriers. Through this experience, she discovered that the Jack Russell Terrier was her true calling and chose to focus on the breed for breeding, showing, and training.
Following graduation, Alex continued to expand her knowledge and experience independently. As a self-taught dog trainer, she focuses on developing and training her own dogs, particularly for structured environments, performance work, and media-related opportunities.
Today, Alex resides in rural Missouri, where she owns and operates her dog boarding facility. Through Geisler Canine Co., she is committed to providing a safe, reliable, and personalized boarding experience while continuing to pursue her passion for training and working with dogs at a high level.
